Project

Bargadi Magath Uttar Pradesh India

Problem Statement
For the past two decades, the village pond has primarily received grey water and sewage discharged from surrounding households, resulting in a continuous inflow of contaminated water. This has led to severe environmental and health
challenges:
1.The pond emits a persistent foul odour, making the area unpleasant.
2.Stagnant water has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes, increasing the risk of vector‑borne diseases.
3.The surroundings are littered with solid waste, further degrading the ecosystem.
4.The water body has become unsuitable for aquatic life or community use, intensifying WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) problems for the entire village.

Solution :
Earthheal Technology – A NBS Solution based on Phytoecoremediation By leveraging Earthheal Technology, we can resurrect the native microbiota of the Waterbody augmenting the natural ecosystem in ponds, lakes, and rivers through harnessing the power of sunlight, water, soil, air and the aquatic food chain to consume & digest the nutrients overload. This process involves breaking down organic matter in wastewater using the native aerobic microbes. Moreover, the phototropic microbiota also produces oxygen through their metabolic processes thereby naturally oxygenating the water body.

Befor Treatment Water Hyacinth Condition in a Pond in Lucknow

Problem Statement
For nearly twenty years, the village pond has silently absorbed untreated grey water and sewage from nearby households. What once could have been a community resource has now turned into a source of distress:
1. The pond constantly releases a pungent odour, making the surroundings unpleasant.
2. Its stagnant waters have become a breeding hub for mosquitoes, fueling the spread of vector‑borne diseases.
3. The banks are cluttered with solid waste, further polluting the environment.Devoid of life, the pond now stands as a symbol of WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) challenges, affecting the health and well‑being of the entire village.

SolutionEarthheal Technology – Nature’s Healing Through Phytoecoremediation
The answer to the village’s water crisis lies in working with nature, not against it. Earthheal Technology revives the native microbiota of ponds, lakes, and rivers, restoring their natural balance. By harnessing the combined power of sunlight, soil, water, air, and the aquatic food chain, this approach transforms contaminated water bodies into thriving ecosystems.
1. Nutrient Balance: Excess organic matter in wastewater is digested by native aerobic microbes, reducing pollution.
2. Natural Oxygen Supply: Phototrophic microbiota generate oxygen during their metabolic cycle, re‑oxygenating stagnant water.
3. Self‑Sustaining Ecosystem: Once revived, the pond begins to support aquatic life, reduce foul odour, and discourage mosquito breeding.
4. Eco‑Friendly Approach: No synthetic chemicals are used—only natural processes that ensure long‑term sustainability.

Greywater Remediation at Hassanpur Village Pond, Murthal, Haryana

Problem Statement :

Over the past two decades, the primary water source for this village Pond has been the grey water and sewage generated by the surrounding village households, resulting in a consistent supply of contaminated Water.
However, the area is plagued by foul odour and the stagnant water body serves as a breeding ground for mosquitoes, leading to the spread of vector-borne illnesses. The surrounding region is littered with solid waste, rendering the water unsuitable for any form of life – all contributing towards WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) problems for the entire

Industrial Wastewater & Greywater Remediation at Nagli Wazidpur Pond, Near Sector 135, Noida, Uttar Pradesh

Problem Statement :

The Nagli Wazidpur Pond was developed by local authorities to store treated industrial effluent (ETP outlet) with the objective of facilitating groundwater recharge. In addition to industrial discharge, the pond also receives greywater from a nearby Gaushala. Over time, the pond has become heavily polluted characterized by dense algal growth, dark blackish water, foul odour, and rampant mosquito breeding, all of which pose serious environmental and public health concerns.

Solution :

Earthheal Technology –  Earthheal Technology Solution based on Phytoecoremediation

Benefits of the project:

1. Enhanced groundwater recharge
2. Water Quality – Dissolved Oxygen (DO) levels have increased to 5 mg/L, creating a healthier aquatic environment and supporting the revival of aquatic life.
3. Increased Water Holding Capacity
4. Elimination of Foul Odour and Mosquito Breeding
5.Revival of Biodiversity

Greywater Remediation at Sadpura Pond, Faridabad, Haryana

Project Owner –
Indo-Nordic Water Forum (consortium of Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland)

Background -
The primary source of water for Sadpura Pond has been grey water and sewage discharged from over 500 households, resulting in a continuous influx of contaminated water. This has led to severe water quality degradation, including foul odour and stagnant conditions, turning the pond into a breeding ground for mosquitoes and contributing to the spread of vector-borne diseases.

Earthheal Involvement:
To tackle this critical issue of algal bloom and water quality,Earthheal was brought in to implement its Nature-Based Solution (Earthheal). Our intervention specifically targets and resolves the algal bloom, addressingthe root cause of ecological imbalance in the pond. The project is currently ongoing.

Solution :

Earthheal Technology – An Earthheal Solution based on Phytoecoremediation

Benefits of the project:
1. Water Quality – Dissolved Oxygen (DO) levels have increased to 6 mg/L, creating a healthier aquatic environment and supporting the revival of aquatic life.
2. Elimination of Foul Odour and Mosquito Breeding
3. Revival of Biodiversity (animals started drinking the treated water)
4. Total Organic Carbon (TOC) increased from 0.56% (acidic) to >1.02% (healthy and fertile)
